HOW TO KEEP VOLUNTEERS INVOLVED WITH THEIR FACILITIES
Pet therapy: Virtual visits with the iPad or if someone lives in a care community going around the building on the first floor to all of the different windows. I have also had some people play fetch or teach their dogs tricks in front of the windows for residents to watch

Live stream a volunteer music performance (piano, clarinet, harp etc) through zoom and hook up to a television
Have them and/or their kids write letters to the residents, part of a “pen-pal” program

Do an at home-baking demonstration (maybe the facility could even supply a store-bought or kitchen-made version of what they made)

Doing phone call check-in’s to see how things are going.

Reading to a resident via Facetime/Skype

Coloring time: Resident and Volunteer color over Facetime/Skype and chit chat during the session
